About Lael Developers Inc.
We have been developing and investing in real estate since 2001, historically focusing on rehabbing residential properties working on SF and MF units. Our projects have involved all aspects of rehabbing from framing, dry wall and painting, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC to complete replacement of concrete basement floor. We have developed over 26,000 sq. ft. of real estate space.
Jimi O.
Principal Jimi O. began his real estate development career in 2001 when he purchased his first single family home to rehab. His residential work has expanded to multi-family development and he has also worked on property management, contractor management risk assessments, financial analysis and stakeholder management. His most recent project – a $13+ million plan to create affordable townhomes in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood – won him second place in Cleveland Development Advisors’ and Cleveland Neighborhood Progress’s Cleveland Equitable Development Initiative 2024 real estate developer pitch competition.
Jimi attended The Ohio State University and Purdue University, where he received his undergraduate and graduate degrees in business management.
Sustainability
With the ongoing effects of climate change, sustainability and green initiatives in real estate development are increasingly essential to promote healthier living spaces. We implement green building practices like using sustainable materials, optimizing energy efficiency, and integrating renewable energy sources in our projects. This includes rooftop solar designs, advanced insulation, and high-efficiency windows to minimize energy use.
In some renovations, we repurpose broken concrete (“urbanite”) for new patio spaces instead of sending it to landfills. Our developments also feature sustainable landscaping such as xeriscaping to reduce water usage and enhance biodiversity, lowering the carbon footprint of our projects. Green buildings not only promote healthier indoor environments with better air quality and natural lighting but also contribute socially by aligning with sustainable goals as we expand and innovate.

We collaborate closely with the local CDC and stakeholder organizations, like block clubs, to conduct extensive outreach. This includes door-to-door surveys and advocating for the formation of a neighborhood advisory committee.
